One-day training camp on “First Aid and Disaster Management”

One-day training camp on “First Aid and Disaster Management” was organised by Youth Red Cross Cell of the college on 20/03/2024. In this training camp, Miss Kiran, First Aid and Home Nursing Lecture Service Instructor, Disaster Management, Red Cross Society, Kurukshetra, taught the college students about the importance of first aid and treatment through practical in the first session of the camp, how to bring the patient to the recovery stage in case of an accident, how to give CPR, how to take the patient to the hospital in case of an accident, what precautions should be taken while taking the patient to the hospital, how to control the situation during a disaster, how to maintain teamwork, physical and psychological support, how to handle a patient in case of a fracture, etc. Students also performed a mock drill on “How to manage disaster in case of a bomb blast”. At the end of the camp, all the girl students were administered an oath to help the sick and injured, follow road safety rules and keep themselves away from drugs. 100 students participated in the training program.
