Commerce Department and Economics Department jointly organised a training programme “Training Programme on “Financial Education for Youth” on 15-16 March, 2024. Mr. Sunil Kumar, SMART, Trainer, NISM, SEBI was the resource person. In his lecture, Mr. Sunil Kumar informed the students about the various types of certificate courses being run by the National Institute of Securities Markets. Apart from this, he discussed in detail the importance of investment, various opportunities for financial investment, primary market and secondary market, future and option, commodity market, e-KYS and grievance redressal system of SEBI etc. Along with this, he also highlighted the points to be kept in mind while investing money in the capital market. In this series, Mr. Sunil Kumar also shared his views with the students on the topic of employment opportunities in the stock market. Addressing the students, Principal Dr. Gagandeep Kaur said that the number of investors in the stock market is increasing at a rapid pace in the last years, investors should be aware before investing their money in the stock market.
